My Own

May 30, 2008

A business.

A living.

A life.

Right Up Your Alley

May 29, 2008

But would you walk down that path, alone?

Captured

May 29, 2008

Seizing the moment.

How often do you do that?

Lucky Number 4

May 28, 2008

In the Chinese culture, the number 4 isn’t everybody’s favourite number.

Funnily though, this is an auspicious number in the Malay culture.

Somewhere in the heart of town, this is the address of a tiny shop that produces timeless heritage: Nyonya Beaded Shoes. I’ll be dealing with this shop for the next few days.

You’re Safe With Me

May 27, 2008

Took this when I was doing my usual:
Running about the city.

“Take my hand.”

That’s the silent rule my parents said to me when I was a kid.

One of the rules that I love.

As Proud As

May 24, 2008

We were taught that being proud is not a good thing.

But it’s okay to be proud of a good thing.

Sometimes, it’s alright to just look back for awhile and look at how far you’ve come.

Wouldn’t hurt to be proud of yourself for a minute or two.

Hold Me

May 23, 2008

Many a times we see children as reckless monsters causing chaos in every corner that they go.

But sometimes, when they learn how to handle something with care, when they learn how to love…

…they’re better at showing it.

Unnoticed

May 19, 2008

I’ve always seen these flowers around each time I walk around campus.

But this is the first time I took a photo of it.

Funny how we tend to oversee the things that we always see.

Smudges

May 18, 2008

It’s as though someone splashed some red, blue and white paint on a huge canvas, and created a masterpiece with a few smudges.

Taken outside my window, nothing better to sum up a fruitful day.

They always remind me of angels dancing in the midst of the greenery, I don’t know why. And it brings an odd sense of comfort to me each time I look at them. I could imagine a soft choir coming out of them – soft sweet voices.

It was hard capturing this photo – they wouldn’t stop swaying. Now you know why I think they’re dancing?
